The 2024 KBO season came to an exciting end on October 29th. The league gained immense popularity, as over 10 million spectators attended the games for the first time. This year, people were drawn in by the food, the atmosphere, and of course, the sport itself.

Korean Series

The Kia Tigers have emerged as the victors of the Korean Series. After a thrilling series against the Samsung Lions, the Tigers were able to take home their 12th Korean Series title. They were favored to win after dominating in the regular season with 87 wins, 2 draws, and 55 losses.

New KBO Records

Several new records were set during the 2024 KBO season. Choi Jeong of the SSG Landers became the new lifetime home run leader. He finished the season with a total of 495 home runs.

Kim Do-young of the Kia Tigers also set an impressive record. He joined the prestigious 30-30 club by recording 38 home runs and 40 stolen bases in a single season.

Victor Reyes of the Lotte Giants also set the single-season record for most hits. In total, he had 202 hits this season, proving that he is an invaluable member of his team.
