Dear Sally,
My family adopted a pet dog named Max a few weeks ago. He is so cute, and I love him. But sometimes, he can be a handful.
I understand that Max is still a puppy and is adjusting to his new home. Still, he doesn’t follow basic commands and pees wherever he wants.
I want to train him so that we can live together without any trouble.
How can I do this?
- Ben
Dear Ben,
Having a dog can be challenging at first. Once you train Max, I’m sure he will become an adorable family member.
Start with consistent training. It’s important to reward your dog with treats and praise him for good behavior.
For example, provide a consistent spot for him to pee. When he seems like he needs to pee, move him to that spot. If he pees properly, don’t forget to reward him.
This process will take some time. Being patient and maintaining a strong bond with him is crucial. Good luck!
