Pickleball has grown rapidly in the United States and is now gaining popularity in South Korea. Recently, more people have started playing pickleball because it is a fun and easy way to exercise. New courts have been built along the Hangang River in Seoul, allowing more people to try the sport.
Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It is played on a small court with a paddle and a plastic ball that has holes. Players can play singles or in teams of two. The goal is to hit the ball over the net and score points when the other side cannot return it.
The rules of pickleball are easy to understand. Players must serve the ball underhand. After the serve, each side must let the ball bounce once before volleying* it. Because the court is smaller than a tennis court, players do not need to run as much, making it a great choice for people of all ages.
