Ice cream is one of the best treats on a hot summer day. Unfortunately, it always seems to melt too fast! But what if there were ice cream that did not melt? It sounds impossible, but two companies have made it happen.
In Japan, a company called Kanazawa Ice sells popsicles that can keep their shape for hours, even in very hot weather. The secret is a natural ingredient found in strawberries called polyphenol.* It stops the ice cream from separating and melting. Kanazawa Ice popsicles come in fun shapes, such as bears and popular characters. Flavors include chocolate, vanilla, and more.
In Australia, a company called Screamies makes ice cream cups that also do not melt. Their approach is different from that of Kanazawa Ice. Screamies’ products use a special formula that keeps the ice cream thick and creamy without melting. It comes in flavors like vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. You can even eat it at room temperature!
Both products are made with real cream and have no artificial colors. So, this summer, you might not have to worry about sticky, melting ice cream anymore.
