In 2025, South Korea’s food exports hit a record high of about 13.6 billion dollars. This was 5.1 percent more than the year before.

Among many items, ramyeon showed the biggest growth. It earned 1.52 billion dollars, up 21.9 percent from the previous year. It was the first item to surpass 1.5 billion dollars in exports. Other popular items were sauces, ice cream, strawberries, and grapes.

The top three export markets were the United States, China, and Japan. New markets in Europe and the Middle East also increased the amount of Korean foods they purchased.

This increase is thanks to K-pop and K-dramas, which have made Korean foods popular around the world. The government aims to reach 16 billion dollars in exports this year.
