Jensen Huang is one of the most influential people in the technology world. He is the founder and CEO* of Nvidia, an American company that makes state-of-the-art computer chips. These chips are now at the heart of artificial intelligence technology used around the globe.
Born in Taiwan in 1963, Huang moved to the United States as a child and founded Nvidia in 1993. Today, it is one of the most valuable companies on the planet.
In June, Huang undertook a trip to Korea for four nights and five days. He met with the leaders of major Korean companies, including Samsung, SK, LG, Hyundai, and Naver, to discuss cooperation on AI and robotics.
However, Huang’s visit was not limited to business. He sat down to eat samgyeopsal with business leaders near Hongdae, drawing a crowd of about 1,000 excited fans outside. He also threw the ceremonial first pitch at a Doosan Bears baseball game and appeared on the popular TV show, “You Quiz on the Block.”
When he left, Huang said he “felt truly welcomed” and looked forward to returning to Korea soon.
